On January 21th, 2016, Foreign Trade University held a meeting and gave meaningful gifts to students in Lunar New Year 2016.
There were the presence of: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Anh Tuan, Party Committee Secretary, President of Foreign Trade University, teachers who were the leaders of the Unit, Youth Secretary, Student Chairman and students with difficult circumstances.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Anh Tuan, President of FTU expressed: “New Year’s Day has come very close to all of us. The Lunar New Year festival was a good occasion for family reunions, specially meant for members who are studying and working outside of the home. However, there were many circumstance cases that lacked favorable conditions, have a lot of difficulties in life. They needed support to have a simple but warm New Year with their relatives.
The support gifts to students in difficult circumstances with the school’s annual desire to share part of the physical difficulties and emotional support for the children of students took the situation to adapt successfully learning and training service in 2015.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Anh Tuan, President of FTU reminded: “I would like to share the difficulties that students and their families were facing, and I appreciated the student’s effort to overcome difficulties in life to study and train in order to reach the highest achievement . The university and all the teachers are always accompanied the children. Students should remember that difficulties are just the challange for us to show bravery and talent of yourself “
The leader of FTU Training Department said: “Students were considered to give support were the formal students of all three training institutions of FTU who have the circumstances: parents had died, martyrs’ children, poor families… with academic achievement from the 7.0 / 10 and above. Based on that criterion, there are 232 students registered and were supported. In which, at Hanoi campus is 131 students, at Ho Chi Minh city campus is 80 students and at Quang Ninh campus is 21 students.
Most of the students at Hanoi campus who received support got the 2014 – 2015 school year result of 8.0 score or even higher. Particularly, Ms. Do Thi Ngoc Ha – the second year FTU student, course 53, major Foreign Economic Relations achieved outstanding performance of 9.08 score.
Many students who received the support were deeply moved by the care of the university. They expressed: “The gift was a huge motivation for us, especially when the Lunar New Year was coming. We will keep trying and working hard to complete the program of FTU so that we could fulfill the dream of getting a job after graduated.”
