In October 5th 2016, Foreign Trade University had the Opening Ceremony for the Associated International Bachelor Program with the present of Ambassadors from partner countries, the representatives from partner universities, freshmen and their parents.
Foreign Trade University honorably welcomed Conseller for Education, Mr MORTEN PRISTED from Embassy of Denmark, Attaché Mrs Marcia Anglarill from the US Embassy in Vietnam, Conseller for Science, Mr Tony Lee from Economic and Culture Office of Taipei in Vietnam, President of TEG Singapore, Mr John Lee, Editor in Chief of Giao duc thu do Magazine, Mr Nguyen Quang Dong Thanh, Deparment of Student Union, Association of University and College in Vietnam, Mrs Nguyen Hong Anh. Besides, there was also the present of other Foreign Trade University partners: Mrs Anya Eskildsen, President of Niels Brock Business University, Denmark, Professor Ching-Chuan Chen, President of Meiho University, Mr Ashraf Jawaid, Vice President of University of Bedfordshire (England), Mr Claus VILLUMSEN, Vice President of Niels Brock Business University, Denmark, Professor Wu Wann Yi, Vice President of Nanhwa University, Mrs Debra Leighton, Head of Falcuty of Business, University of Bedfordshire, Doctor Hsiao-Tseng Lin, Manager of Department of International Affairs, Meiho University. In addition, the representatives from Foreign Trade University are Assoc Prof, Dr Le Thi Thu Thuy, Vice President of Foreign Trade University, Assoc Prof, Dr Ho Thuy Ngoc, Head of International Education, Manager and Deputy Manager of other departments, freshmen and their parents.

With the motto of delivering high quality education programs, which meet the requirements of the society, apart from traditional program such as Business Degree associated with University of Bedfordshire (Endland), Business Administration Degree, majoring in Finance with Niels Brock Business University (Denmark), International Business Degree, Finance degree with University of Minot State (the US), this year, Foreign Trade University starts the 2+2 program for Business Administration in Tourism and Hospitality with Nanhwa University and Meiho Universtiy (Taiwan). Although the recruitment period was in hot summer, the number of freshmen this year reached 259 for 4 bachelor programs and 20 for master program thanks to the effort of recruiting staffs. It was even more proud that there were 48 students having IELTS score from 6.0 and 32 students had a 5.5 IELTS score.
At the same time, Univesity of Bedfordshire committed to give the allowance for students to access to their library from the first year. Besides, Foreign Trade University also hold the graduation ceremony for students class 5 of the associated program between Foreign Trade University and University of Bedfordshire. The ceremory of 21 students finishing their last year in Vietnam had a great meaning, marking the success of the full time associated education in Vietnam.
After four years studying at Foreign Trade University for acquiring necessary skills and knowledge, 95 students have graduated in England and 21 in Vietnam. The graduate date is an important milestone in their life, however, it is still the beginning of a long journey, therefore, they still have to study and improve themselves to overcome other obstacles.
Students of associated programs are always appreciated by partner univesities. To encourage students, Univesity of Bedfordshire offered a scholarship of 4.2 billion for students in Class 9 and Business degree program of Niels Brocks Business University, Denmark also offered a scholarship of 850 million for Finance students, Namhwa Univesity offered a scholarship of 1.1 billion and Meiho University offered 1 945 million scholarship for students class 1 of Tourism and Hospitality Administration Program. This will be the great encouragement for students in a new acadamic year.

To motivate students, Foreign Trade Universtiy gave present for those who had outstanding academic achievements, proven by a more than 80 in GPA and at least a score of 5.5 in the IELTS test. This year, there were 22 students honorably receive these rewards
